This Men’s Health Month, Meet NWA’s Best Men’s Health Clinic

June is Men’s Health Month — a time set aside every year to shine a light on something that doesn’t get nearly enough attention: men actually taking care of themselves.

The statistics are hard to ignore. Men are significantly less likely than women to visit a doctor, less likely to seek help for symptoms they’ve been quietly tolerating for years, and on average live shorter lives as a result. The barriers aren’t just physical — they’re cultural. Too many men have been conditioned to push through, shake it off, and assume that feeling run-down, unfocused, or just “off” is simply part of getting older.

It doesn’t have to be.

At The Edge in Rogers, AR, men’s health is what we do — and it’s what we’re passionate about. We were voted Best Men’s Health Clinic in Northwest Arkansas for 2025 by the Best of NWA community, and that recognition means everything to us because it came from the men and families of NWA who’ve experienced the difference firsthand.

This Men’s Health Month, we want to talk about what we do, why it matters, and why the conversation around men’s health needs to change.

The Problem With How Men Approach Their Health

Let’s start with some uncomfortable numbers.

According to research and data compiled from national health surveys, men are roughly half as likely as women to see a doctor — even when symptoms are present. Among the top sexual health concerns men report as they age: 44% worry about erectile dysfunction, 39% about loss of sex drive, and 36% about low testosterone. Yet for many, those concerns stay private for years — sometimes decades — before they’re ever brought up with a medical professional.

Meanwhile, research published in PubMed using National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data found that testosterone levels among men in the U.S. have been measurably declining over recent decades — even in younger men — independent of age and BMI. Testosterone deficiency affects an estimated 12.3% of men between ages 40 and 69, according to the Massachusetts Male Aging Study. And those are just the men whose levels have been checked.

This is a real, measurable, treatable condition. And most men suffering from it have no idea that’s what’s behind the way they feel.

That’s exactly the gap The Edge was built to close.

What Is The Edge — and What Makes Us Different?

The Edge is a men’s clinic in Rogers, Arkansas, specializing in male optimization. We’re part of the Ozark Regional Vein & Artery Center family of practices — alongside Renew Aesthetics — and we operate under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Haney, one of NWA’s most respected physicians in vascular and men’s hormonal health.

But what makes The Edge different isn’t just our credentials. It’s our philosophy.

Far too often, men who seek hormone replacement therapy get their care mismanaged — undertreated, overtreated, or monitored without the individualized attention that gets real results. We built The Edge around a different promise: we’ll educate you, monitor you closely, and guide you through every step with doctor supervision and a process that’s proven to be effective.

We’re not here to hand you a prescription and send you on your way. We’re here to build a relationship — and to help you feel like yourself again.

Our Services: A Complete Approach to Men’s Health

Hormone Therapy

This is the cornerstone of what we do. For men with low testosterone or symptoms of hormonal imbalance, we offer:

Testosterone Optimization — The full testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) experience, properly dosed, individually monitored, and adjusted based on regular lab work. TRT done right is genuinely life-changing for the right patient.

LH Support — Luteinizing hormone support helps maintain the body’s natural testosterone signaling pathways, often used alongside or as an alternative to direct testosterone replacement.

Sermorelin — A growth hormone-releasing peptide that supports sleep quality, recovery, and overall vitality. For men whose symptoms include poor sleep, sluggish recovery, or reduced stamina, sermorelin can be a meaningful part of the treatment plan.

Peptides — Targeted peptide therapies that support a range of goals including muscle recovery, fat metabolism, and hormonal balance.

Health Management

Hormones don’t exist in a vacuum. We take a whole-body approach to men’s health that includes:

B12 & Lipo B Shots — Injectable B12 and lipotropic blends that support energy, metabolism, and mental clarity. Many of our patients notice an immediate difference in how they feel.

Supplements — Medical-grade supplementation tailored to your specific needs and lab values — not guesswork from a store shelf.

Body Composition Analysis — We go beyond the scale to measure lean mass, fat mass, and the metrics that actually matter when tracking your health and response to treatment.

Erectile Dysfunction Treatments

ED is more common than most men are willing to admit — and it’s often a signal of something deeper, whether hormonal, vascular, or both. We offer two non-invasive, clinically validated treatment options:

GAINSWave — Low-intensity shockwave therapy that improves blood flow and stimulates tissue regeneration. It’s one of the most effective non-pharmaceutical approaches to ED available, and it requires no downtime.

PRP Therapy for Erectile Dysfunction — Platelet-rich plasma therapy uses your body’s own growth factors to restore sensitivity and function. It’s a regenerative approach that addresses root causes rather than masking symptoms.

Men’s Aesthetics

Men deserve to look as good as they feel. Our aesthetics services for men include:

Botox & Dysport — Subtle, natural-looking treatment for lines and wrinkles. More men than ever are choosing this — and the results speak for themselves.

Dermal Fillers — Volume restoration for a refreshed, less fatigued appearance.

Laser Hair Removal — Permanent reduction for men tired of constant grooming.

Emsculpt® — FDA-cleared muscle building and fat reduction technology. A great complement to TRT for men focused on body composition.

Skin Tightening — Radiofrequency treatments that firm and tighten without surgery or downtime.

miraDry® for Hyperhidrosis — A permanent solution for excessive sweating — a condition that affects millions of men and has a major impact on confidence and daily life.

The Science Behind TRT: What the Research Actually Shows

We understand that some men come to us skeptical — or with questions from their primary care doctor who isn’t familiar with modern TRT protocols. We welcome those conversations. Here’s what the evidence shows:

A comprehensive 2025 narrative review published in PMC — covering 25 years of randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, and meta-analyses — found that TRT in men with confirmed hypogonadism consistently improved sexual desire, erectile function, lean body mass, bone mineral density, insulin sensitivity, and overall vitality. The review concluded that TRT carries a favorable safety profile under structured monitoring, with no increased risk of major cardiovascular events or prostate cancer when guidelines are followed.

A separate PMC review on TRT in men in their 40s documented improvements in sexual function, gains in lean mass, reduction in fat mass, and metabolic benefits including decreased waist circumference and improved insulin sensitivity — particularly when combined with lifestyle interventions.

The key phrase in both reviews is “properly monitored.” This is where so many men get shortchanged — by programs that don’t do regular labs, don’t adjust dosing thoughtfully, and don’t follow up. The Edge does all of this, every time.

What Our Patients Are Saying

The best evidence for what we do isn’t in a journal — it’s in the lives of the men we’ve helped.

“After feeling tired all the time and not being able to get motivated, I decided to join The Edge. Best move ever! Getting your body back where it should be is amazing! I now have energy and have lost 60+ pounds.” — Byron S.

“My ‘I’ll do that later’ has become ‘I’ll do that right now.’ Mentally I could not stay focused, physically I couldn’t gain or keep muscle, and libido was in the tank. Pots of coffee, energy drinks, and naps should not be necessary just to get through a normal day — and they aren’t.” — Brandon K.

“I had no idea I could feel this good again. Dr. Haney and Alex Beaumont are experts at this.” — Brad F.

“I’ve experienced great results and feel years younger in multiple ways. This place has helped me reclaim a lot of motivation and drive.” — Joshua S.

These aren’t outliers. They’re the norm for men who come in with a real hormonal issue and get treated properly.

Why Men’s Health Month Matters — and Why We Care Year-Round

Men’s Health Month in June is important because it creates a moment — a reason to finally book that appointment, have that conversation, or admit that something hasn’t felt right for a while.

But at The Edge, Men’s Health Month is every month.

We got into this work because we’ve seen what happens when testosterone deficiency goes unaddressed — the fatigue that compounds over years, the mental fog that chips away at relationships and careers, the slow erosion of confidence and drive that men too often accept as “just aging.” And we’ve seen what happens when it’s treated well.

That transformation is why we show up every day.

If you’re a man in your 30s, 40s, 50s, or beyond who hasn’t felt like yourself — who’s been tired, unmotivated, struggling with weight, sleep, focus, or intimacy — we want to talk to you. Not to sell you something. To run your labs, look at the full picture, and tell you honestly what we find.

You deserve to feel like your best self. And if there’s a clinical reason you don’t, that’s not something you have to just live with.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Edge

Do I need a referral to see The Edge?
No referral is needed. You can schedule a consultation directly or use our Hormone Screening Tool online to get started.

How do I know if I have low testosterone?
Common symptoms include persistent fatigue, low libido, difficulty building or maintaining muscle, increased body fat, mood changes, brain fog, and poor sleep. The only way to confirm is a blood test — and we make that easy.

What does the TRT process look like?
We start with labs to establish your baseline hormone levels. From there, we build an individualized plan, begin treatment, and monitor your response with regular check-ins and follow-up labs. Nothing is set-and-forget.

Is TRT safe?
When properly diagnosed and monitored by a qualified medical team, TRT has a well-established safety profile. We follow evidence-based guidelines and monitor for any side effects throughout your treatment.

Do you treat men of all ages?
Yes. While testosterone levels naturally decline with age, hormonal imbalances can affect men in their 30s and even younger. We evaluate each patient individually based on labs and symptoms — not age alone.

What is GAINSWave and is it right for me?
GAINSWave is a non-invasive shockwave therapy for erectile dysfunction that improves blood flow to the penile tissue. It’s a good option for men who want to address ED without medication. A consultation will help determine if it’s the right fit for you.
